2. Keyword rich Title

4. Back Links

Studies show that links both inbound and outbound help in increasing page ranking. Moreover, back links from authoritative websites like Wikipedia, Harvard etc. boost traffic on the website and increase page visibility.

5. Drop keyword in first 100 words

Keep a count on keywords while writing. Google search engine gives higher ranking to the page if keywords are incorporated in first 100 words i.e. first paragraph, more precisely in first two lines of the page.

6. Wrap the Title in H1 tag

Headings and title in the page should pose an impact on the reader and for this it is essential that they are of different size. Thus, making headings H1 fulfills the purpose of distinguishing them and also enhances on page SEO.

7. Loading Speed

Do you like if the page you wish to browse loads at a speed of a caterpillar. NO Right! In the same manner, if your site is loading slowly you will lose many readers. There are many competitors in the market, so if you don’t keep a track of your site downtime you are giving away large number of readers to your competitors. Also Google don’t give importance to sites or pages that are slow processing. So ensure your loading time is not more than fraction of seconds and you’ll nail it.

8. Add modifiers in Title

Modifiers in the title increases the weightage of the title. They make the title more specific and appealing to the reader. “SEO techniques to increase your reach” or  “Best SEO techniques to increase your reach” which one seems more appealing? Of course the later one. So next time do remember to include modifiers in your title.

9. Buttons to share on social media

Social media is the place where people spend 80% of their daily time. Thereupon, including social sharing buttons is a must for On page SEO. This also improves your chances of being visible on social media. You can read more about how to get it right here.

Tip: Use moving social button toolbar, it dramatically increases the number of times your page or article is shared over social platforms.

10. Content Length

“Length is strength” in terms of On page SEO. The lengthier your content is, the higher it is ranked by Google search engine. So write lengthy, engaging content (1500 words) when dealing with competitive keywords or content.

11. Slash Bounce Rate

Bounce rate is – how quickly the reader leaves your site. Google considers higher bounce rate as a signal to inferior quality content. Only key to reduce bounce rate is by creating engaging content and including inbound links to the content so that reader lands on other pages of the website in the thirst of reading more.

12. Sprinkle LSI keywords

LSI keywords are synonyms which are used by Google to identify page relevancy. So if you use LSI keywords in your content Google increases your page ranking provided it finds them relevant.
